Have an old 18.7" Wingmaster barrel without a front bead. Are there any good smiffs out there that would be able to put a bead on it, maybe park it? Cost? Barring that, are there any good sources for 870 18.5" barrels with beads?

I just picked up one of these 870 Parked barrels from Midway the other day on a whim to start my 870 build and they're already sold out.
http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=242364 BTW I googled "MidwayUSA coupon" and got an extra $15 off. Gunbroker has new barrels as well of course. |
| that midway price is a rip off considering that the barrel retails on the 2010 Remington parts list as part number F242243 for $101.00. Guess those coupons are easy to give out then you over charge for items. I did not know Midway jacks the price of things up 10%. So getting one from Remington is cheaper or you can find them on Gun Broker for $99 and the guy who has them listed there is a great seller with over 1,040 A+ ratings and has never gotten less then an A+. Handsome, intelligent, wanted by all the ladies and a great American. Buy from him with confidence and he won't jack prices up like Midway does. |

Since I walked to the door at Midway and picked it up, it was a good deal for me. For being such a poor retailer, Midway seems to sure make a lot of money. |
| Making money is easy when you add 10% to the retail price. Most all manufacture prices are higher then retail or why would anyone carry their products if a guy could go to a manufacturers web site and get it cheaper. I get dealer pricing at Midway and get a lot of stuff for my business and it is rare that they would be higher. They sure are on this item since it sells retail from Remington for $101 and Midway is selling it for $109.99. I am a volume Remington parts dealer and get the same price they do and I pay $75.75 for that barrel from Remington and keep them in stock as they are great sellers. The same 18.5" bead sight, Cyl Bore choke matte finish Express barrel is $ 134 from Remington so the 18.5" parkerized bead sight that comes on the 870P is $33 cheaper then the Express barrel. Good deal. |

Good deal. I was curious as to why they sold the parked barrel cheaper than the Express. That finish sucks IMO compared to park. Oh well, fine by me! |
