[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Replacing Front Bead?

What is needed to replace a simple front sight bead with rifle sights..like a ghost ring type..on a remington 870? Is it something a gun smith needs to do? Or best if they do it?

If you want rifle sights I'd buy a whole new barrel for $160.

You can buy clip-on rifle sights that attach to your vent rib. Not the best, but inexpensive. Link

Thanks for the info. I would like to buy a barrel that came with the sights I want but the barrel is for a SBS build. I can only seem to find a factory 14" barrel right now with front bead only. Guess I will email a few dealers tomorrow and see if they can order the barrel.

We've got 14 inch remington barrels with rifle night sights for the Dodge Chargers. Sight looks similar to issued Glocks with Trijicons

Dept purchased. From Remington LE Dealer. Unknown if avail without letter head and or purchase order from agency.

I think it was from OMB.
