Given the choices, I'd go with the Winchester... But in general, I'd prefer an 870 or a 500.
Preferably something with synthetic furniture for a truck gun. Something with a 3" chamber,
so that the stroke is shorter. Something with an 18"-20" barrel. Definitely 12 gauge, mostly
for versatitlity's sake. There's lots better ammo available for 12 gauge. Hell... If price is an
issue, either pick up something like an HR Pardner Protector or a Maverick 88. Those will
run you about $200.

Of your stated choices, I personally, would opt for the Winchester. That was my vote.

The 870 just offers the most accessories and aftermarket parts, it's kinda hard to go wrong

I agree.... but it's a super mag, which means a longer stroke... it's not currently setup for
home defense, which means added cost... *shrugs* I stand by my vote for the Winchester
even though I prefer the Remington in general.

The Dreadnought (Remington Super Mag) hands down.

I think your poll is a bit lopsided, you could probably find a new HD Mossberg in 12ga for less than the other two. Why put a 20ga mossberg against 12ga 870 and Winchester, why not just ask Winchester or 870.

From what I have experienced, I would go either the 1300 or 870. The mossbergs are said to be great guns, and I dont deny that, but I personally feel they quality is not as high as the other two. As stated before, the 870 has a HUGE amount of aftermarket accesories and parts are easy to come by and are inexpensive. The 1300 though does have a smoother and faster action in my opinion, so it does has an advantage there.

I was actually debating this today before I found this thread, so I did a little personal research which I think can help. I have a Mossberg 500A, which I compared against my father's Rem 870 Wingmaster. In my opinion, there is no comparison between the quality, and the Remington wins hands down. The action for one, is completely smooth on the Remington, as compared to the "wobbly" pump of the 500. The Rem is a nicer tighter gun, and is much tougher, not that having a cheaper gun like the 500 isn't a bonus (so you don't baby it when things matter most). Both have about the same aftermarket parts, which brings me to the Winchester. ATI makes kits with adapters that fits all three, but for overall fun products you can add, mossberg is just behind Remington.

Another important difference is reloading. Winchester and Remington can reload with slide forward and back, where-in-areas mossbergs bar blocks reload with the slide is back. I think I'm trading up to a Winchester, cuz it's value is going up becuase it is no longer produced, and it is a quick-action shotgun of great quality.

There, my two cents.

Well, im looking for a Rem 870 marine magnum or police magnum. Im going to stay away from the supermag.

Ive pretty much decided that is what Ill get, makes sense to stick with a proven winner.

870, but not a SuperMag.  3" is all you need.  The SuperMag is more finicky.
