Hello everybody.
First off, I want to say this is my first post on this site, however I have been reading forums here for many month prior. I have an older Benelli Montefeltro on its way right now, with a non-crio barrel. It only came with one improved cylinder factory choke. My question is... If I wanted to buy some extra choke tubes, what brand would you recomend? Please include reasoning for your choices. Money is not really an issue, I dont mind paying for a quality item, however I would not like to pay more then 50 a choke tube. I will be using the shotgun for weekend clays and trap, so i will not need an expensive extra full turkey, and i will not need any special black cloud etc tubes. Any help you can provide would be much apprieciated. Thank you |
| I know the improved cylinder would be okay for all around, however sometimes we like to make things challenging at the range and see who can hit the clays furthest away etc. I would like to at least have a full and modified at my disposal. I have shot my friends Benelli M2, and I can tell the difference in the chokes. Thanks for the reply though. |
| How about some Carlson's Choke Tubes? Lifetime warranty, flush fits are $30 a pop, and the ones I've used have always been good (YMMV, of course) |

To be honest, i was kinda leaning towards those. I can pick them up at my local gun shop, they are reasonably priced, and from what i have read, have great reviews. I just wasnt sure if something like the Briley's tubes were worth the extra cash or not. Thanks
EDIT: Anybody also have any information on extended tubes vs. flush mount? i like the idea of the extended as I wouldnt need a tool to change them. Any opinions on either? Thanks |
