Is the safety on a Mossberg 500/590 considered to be a hammer safety?

Oklahoma's security guard regulations allow for slide action shotgun qualification but do not allow hammer safeties. This was probably to exclude 1897 Winchester pumps but was curious as to what a Mossberg used as it might by it's position.
