| I own a TLR i'd like to mount to my HD shotgun. The shotgun in question is an 18" ventrib 870 with four round mag tube. I'd like a pic rail that securely clamps on the barrel so i won't have to change the forend. Anyone know of anything and where i could obtain it? Thanks in advance. |

This is one of my upcoming weapon accessories

| It currently has the stock four round tube on it. That nordic peice looks fantastic if i were running an extended mag, but $50 plus s and h seems relatively high. CTD was the first place i glanced at (why?) and they had the aluminum UTG mounts that seem like they would work. The durability of an aluminum peice is questionable to me. |

I know you said you don't want to change the forend, but you should look at this.... Mako 3-Rail Forend I was looking for some way to mount a TLR-1 to my Mossburg 500 also. I purchased the Mako Forend and have been VERY pleased with it. Solid. Secure. Easy to "install". I have no regrets. Just a suggestion. |
| though not exactly what im looking for radiocowboy thanks for the suggestion. I was hoping to find a simple peice that would comin in at the $20-30 range. How does the pump handle with the naked bottom rail? should i plan on getting rail covers if i decide to go that route. |

This is the rail mentioned by m24shooter a few posts up. I've had this on my 870 for about 50 rnds now. Can't completely speak for the durability yet, but it seems good to go so far. It can be mounted on either side, or bottom. I'm running a TLR as well and it's easy to activate the light, but as mentioned before, there is a little bit of shadow from the barrel. Not that bad, though. Best part is it was only $15, well under your price range. |

looks pretty good, though im not thrilled with the polymer construction. One of the reviews said it snapped off after about the same amount of rounds you put through your gun poopile. There have been reports of people mounting them to the "bottom" position, running their hand into the light/mount, and it breaks then. It's a nice mount (I use it) but I don't think it was ever engineered to sithstand that level of abuse. FWIW, I run mine at the 9 o clock for easy thumb activation of the light. |

Saw this one on Ebay
it purports to be steel and aluminum...... |

I'm not exactly known as being easy on equipment... YMMV. |

The "rail" is only the front 2 or 3 inches of the forend. Your hand will be well behind that. |
