i know theres just a couple, but i think a sticky with the parts and part numbers that are specific to the police model would be good... maybe the numbers for the barrels/extensions that are parked and are specific to the police model too...im sure aippi can give us all the numbers |

This is copied in part from SGW, and tweaked a little by me. Thank's 870SuperMagnum.
(870 Police) Heavy SEAR Spring #F97642 http://www.remingtoncountrystore.com/PartsProductCompact.aspx?catalogid=1&categoryid=3566&productid=3417&topcat=1038 (870 Police) Heavy Carrier Dog Follower Spring #F16966 is to be used. It's actually a carrier latch spring. (its an 1100 part, but its what Remington uses in their 870P) http://www.remingtoncountrystore.com/PartsProductCompact.aspx?catalogid=1&categoryid=3564&productid=3231&topcat=1038 (870 Police) Milled Extractor #F16176 http://www.remingtoncountrystore.com/PartsProductCompact.aspx?catalogid=1&categoryid=3566&productid=3215&topcat=1038 (870 Police) Metal Trigger Group #F10220 The real expert's say the plastic guard is actually stronger. It won't break like the metal one will. http://www.remingtoncountrystore.com/PartsProductCompact.aspx?catalogid=1&categoryid=3566&productid=3131&topcat=1038 All these part's are available from Remington and Brownells. They are actually cheaper from Remington, but they killed me on the shipping. So it comes out to be about the same. Anyone please let me know if there is anything wrong here, and I will change it. BTW, I agree with Matt that this should be a sticky. |

Quoted: i think the plastic trigger guard is coming on the police now too...but thanks!! Did they really change it? I got my 870P in Oct of 08, and it has a metal trigger guard. I probably would of went with polymer if I had to do it again, but there's no real reason for me to swap. |
