How well will it cycle lighter loads? Are there things I can do to help if needed?

Define "lighter".
It is unreasonable to expect a gun chambered for 3 1/2" magnums to also be able to shoot light dove loads. Unless you need a dedicated goose gun, get the 930 instead.

I have seen lots of posts on shotgun boards of the 935 not feeding lights loads verywell. Looks like the concensus is to get a 930, unless you just really need to be slinging 3.5s.
