Installed a trigger assembly from a 870 3.5",
plastic frame, into a 870 3" gun. The gun will not cock the trigger when pumped?? Thanks in advance? |

Does the bolt lock tightly into battery when you put the 3” trigger group in the 3.5” gun?
Set the 2 trigger groups side by side (Line up the 2 trigger group pin holes) and you should see the differences in the two assemblies (specifically look at the action bar lock) The question than begs to be asked... Why do you want to swap these assemblies between guns that were not designed to allow such interchangeability?

Ended up aligning the assemblies together using the pins and noted
the differences, which were few. The action bars were slightly different, so I changed the 3.5 to mimick the 3". Now they both work interchangeably. I did this so I could keep the 3" trigger assembly as it's a metal frame instead of the plastic frame that came out of the 3.5. I'm going to trade the 3" off and didn't want to lose the metal trigger assembly in the process. |
