Sorry if this has been covered before but I didn't see it.

I just purchased the above weapon and wanted to put a knoxx top folder on it.  As many of you know, the weapon is a very close clone of the 870.  My question is will the knoxx stock fit this weapon?  I called H&R and they said 'no' but I was wondering if that is an automatic answer or if indeed it will not fit.  Thanks for any information.

Not sure about the top folder, but the Arms Tech 870 stock adapter works just fine.

Not to hijack, but how is the quality of the attachment of the carrier to the slide arms?

I was thinking about getting either one of these or a Maverick, but the H&R I examined had VERY crude attachment of the carrier to the slide arms.  It look brazed, and poorly done at that...  I was wondering if this was a fluke or the norm.

The Pardner is ok, but it IS an under $250 shotty.  There is not much to eff up, since it is a reverse engineered 870.  I think the Norinco 982 (or something like that) is a much more blatant copy.

Pains me to say, but I liike it a bit more than the Eagle Pass (Mexico) made Marvericks.  Just too much plastic and I do not like the forend attachment.

Damn ChiComs.

The arms are brazed on. I believe this is the same as on my 870, the Pardner is just not as pretty a job, but seems plenty secure.

They use thick brazing to attach charging arms to the forend tube. It's not neatly done because it can't be seen unless you take the forend assembly off.  Mossberg uses brazing to attach the Ghost ring sights and barrel lug rings on the Model 500 and 590 shotguns. Have you ever looked at the brazing job around the Barrel rings and GRS on the 590A1 shotguns. It's not a very neat job. Brazing is very strong and it has to be to secure the barrel rings on a 590A1.

The Pardner Pump is a $160 shotgun and built like a tank. They are on sale @ some sporting goods stores for $160.

the NEF Pardner Protector pumps I have seen appeared to be made very well, the action was smooth but they were quite a bit heavier than the right next to it in the rack Remington 870s...they also were about $100 cheaper than that Remington...I can't find one around here for under $200 but those finding them for less are saving more...

I prefer Remington but if I needed a shotgun and money was tighter...I wouldn't say no to the NEF Pardner...I would try to find a used 870 but...YMMV...good luck with your choice...

The Knoxx stock will fit. It may need a little fitting.

Academy Sports has them for $159 or did. That's basically no profit on their end.

I just purchased mine at Acadamy.  Out the door for $149 and some change.  I plan to put the Knoxx top folder on this one.  Thanks for the info that it will fit.  I have an 870 P/M with the Knoxx SpecOp.  I just couldn't pass up the deal offered to me the other day.  This one will be my trunk gun.
