Try this with either a TLR-1 type light, or a low profile 1" scope ring with Surefire in it:

magazine tube rail mount

I prefer this mount

YMMV - my Dad & I both run these mounts with success, but another member here somehow broke his.

I actually have that exact same mount, but it doesn't seem to be the sturdiest way to mount a light.  But, it's better than holding a flashlight for damn sure.

i did see the thread where the member broke his. i can see how it would get caught on something and break.

To the OP I like it it looks sturdier than either of the others shown in this thread. i am looking as well. i wonder of its weight. I wouldn't want too much at that end of my gun.

I have seen those things before, they seem to be pretty rugged looking...

One way I originally mounted a flashlight on my Benelli M4, was like this:

http://www.tacticalshotgunner.com/insight-technologies-shotgun-adapter-p-105.html

with a 1 inch flashlight ring. The ITI 1 inch tube mount was very strong, but it didn't let me field strip my Benelli shotgun so I scrapped the idea. It isn't a 1913 picatinny rail though, but the 1 inch scope ring I had did work on it.

ETA

Threads are re-enforced with Heli-coils, so you can really crank it down, and the inside of the clamp has 2 thin rubberized pads to prevent it from slipping around under recoil.

I have the LaserLyte tri-rail mount. It works for my purposes and you can get it on Ebay for around $25 shipped.

The scope ring I had on mine was like... ultra cheap, and it worked fine

From brownells, 10 bucks for a set of low 1 inch rings (this is the set I got)

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/sid=51725/pid=26207/sku/Low_1__Rings

They fit great on the ITI mag tube clamp.

But I haven't tried the double mount in the OP, so I can't say if the setup I used was any better or not

there is a local shop that i called and they say they have a mount. maybe ill take a drive down there today and check it out. they sell a lot of UTG crap and im guessing thats what it is.

they had 3 mounts. one was a utg mount that clamped to the barrel, one was a caa replacement front grip that you could then purchase another caa light mount, and the last was a caa mount that clamped to the mag tube.

i bought the new front grip and adjustable light mount and when i got it home and started putting it together i realized that the light mount would get in the way of your hand and you would really have to back your hand rearward on the grip. it was uncomfortable and ill be taking it back. spendy too at 120$ for the pair..

This is a Choate clamp if you're looking for a KISS setup.

I know that there are some here that feel a heat shield is not needed on a HD shotgun but, I realized that I could mount a short piece of rail with the same screws that mount the heatshield. I then can use any flashlight mount made to fit the rail. I just use a 1" scope ring t mount mine.
