I have an 879 and was wondering everyones opinions on sling options. It's not so much a dedicated HD gun, it's in the closet (I have kids). As of now I do not have a sling plate mounted on it. It still has the factory sling mount on the stock. Are there any options for a sling the way it is right now? I didn't know if there were slings that attached to the front in a different manor that the sling plate mount.
What do you guys have and are happy with? |
| There should be a Quck detach stud on the barrel bracket. If not, getting a barrel bracket with a QD gives you a forward mounting option and there is a QD on the stock for your rear mounting option. this allows you to use either a two point or three point sling. But if you intend to use this for HD do not put a sling on it. |
