I am looking at getting this gun and want to be sure what to look for about the front site being off. Is it not parallel with the barrel like 15 degrees off being straight , the front of the site father right or left than the back of the site or are they straight with the barrel but not at top dead center of the barrel, off to the right or left of center a little bit and what is the easiest way to tell if it is off or not? TIA

What kind of gun, and especially what kind of sight??

Gun sights should always be centered on the barrel at 12:00 o'clock top-dead-center, and perfectly aligned with the length of the barrel.

In other words, a sight that's sitting off to one side or is not in line with the barrel is not installed right.
Poor installation like this should raise alarms as to what ELSE might not be right.  People who do bad quality work like that often don't stop with the sights, they often try to "improve" other things internally that you don't see when buying.

Is the barrel properly fastened and centered when it was last reinstalled?  Were the measurements done when the barrel was on or off the barrel?
