What can I expect as far as group size from an 18.5" barrel with a bead sight shooting slugs at 50 yards and 100 yards?  What would you call poor, okay, and great?

It depends greatly on several factors:

1) What type of bore/choke do you have (Cyl., Imp., rifled slug barrel, etc.);
2) What kind of ammo are you shooting (Federal, Hornady, etc. slugs or other quality slugs or are you using crap like Wofl);
3) Shooting off-hand, rested, prone, etc.; and
4) Your abilities as a shooter.

On average, I would say you would get "fair" accuracy out of a cylinder bored, 18.5" barreled HD shotgun with only a bead front sight using quality ammo.  Maybe 4-5" at 50 yards if you are lucky and at least double that at 100 yards.  Sights make a big difference when shoot slugs 50 yards and beyond and you are asking a lot to be accurate with only a bead sight at 100 yards with slugs in my experience.

I would be shooting with good slugs and a rifled choke tube off a rest.

Don't know about your set up because my 870 has a 14" bbl. with no choke (cylinder bore) and I can keep all slugs in an 10" diameter plate at 100 yards.  My shotty has a Trijicon Reflex II optic on it so that probably makes a big difference.

ETA: I just changed the bbl. this evening out to a 12" so i will see if it still has the same accuracy.

I got this group firing Remington 1oz slugs from my bead-sighted, cylinder-bored, 18.5" barreled Mossberg 930 at 25 yards.
First time to put slugs through it and I was trying for head shots as fast as I could get back on target.  5 rounds rested and 5 rounds standing.
