New to shotguns.
Got a new 870 synthetic express hd. It has the bead front sight. I bought an Eagle Stock Pack and it changes my cheek weld. It changes my sight picture. How much of an issue is this? Since this is a short range weapon, do I just adjust my POA? Thanks in advance. |

Pattern the gun at the distance that you will be shooting it.
You need to figure out where the gun is shooting verses where you are aiming it (putting the bead on the target with you now looking over the rib and now down it if you now have a higher cheek weld point). Really, in a shotguns, it should be shooting where you are seeing the pattern to be. For some that favor flat shooting guns, the pattern will hit center of the bead. For target shooters, we favor the gun shooting high (above the bead) since we never want to block the target with the bead when shooting. |
