Hey all

Noobie question here. Please be kind.

I recently bought a new (to me) 870. When trying to load it I found that I was only able to load two rounds. I disassembled it and found a plastic green tube (for lack of another term) in the spring which is keeping me from loading more rounds. My question is can I remove the tube? sorry if this is a dumb question.

Thanks,
Truckie

Thanks for the quick answer!

just curious, was the tube placed purposely to limit the capacity? for a hunting requirement?

I know its already been answered, but its called a plug. Its put in place to limit the amount of rounds inside the gun for hunting. Just take the magazine tube cap off and take it out and you should be good to go. You will need it if you plan to use it from certain game in your area (check the regulations if you plan on hunting with it) otherwise you should be good to go.
