My buddy & I were shooting some clays last weekend...we went through about 250 rds with his 500...but then disaster struck!
The forearm came detached from the slide assembly...We cant figure out how or why it came off or how it can go back on.Its a wood forend, dont see any broken wood...it looks like it was glued on..like there was glue residue on the slide assmbly.
Anyone ever have this problem?
Or know how to fix it?

If it was a 500 it should have a ring that threads on metal forearm tube  to hold the wood in place.  I've never heard of one being glued on.

If I am reading your post right you are referring to the slide bars and the steel ring that surrounds the mag tube separating from the forearm. I am not sure if it is glued or not but I wouldn't doubt it. I would say that you could clean off any glue from the steel and wood surfaces. Rough up both surfaces and use a good epoxy to reattach it. I would find the correct point to reattach it. Perhaps a tell tale spot in the wood or old glue. You will want it to lock up and go fully rearward properly.

If worst comes to worst contact Mossberg. I would think they would help you out.

Yea you described it right...i dont actually know if it was glued on or not...but like i said it looked like glue residue on the steel ring. I couldnt find a notch or anything that the ring would go into,it was all pretty much flat on the wood
