I read a few post awhile back that some of yall were putting on after market lower sight base on the SPX to fix the guns problem of shooting high, however I did not see any of the results posted. If they did work where did you order the bases and how much did it cost.

Thank you!

This is the information that was posted about the lower sight base in another thread:

For anyone who is interested. Here is a better scope base for the SPX. It's overall length is 5.5" and is 3/4" longer than the factory base. It has 13 slots and the bottom is wider and not arched as high as the factory base. This allows the screws to screws in the receiver a little deeper and engage more threads. I noticed that the screws on my SPX are little shorter than they should be. It also fits the contour of the receiver better. The quality and finish is just as good as the factory base. The screws that come with the base are not as good as the factory screws so I used the factory screws with my new base.

The base is made by UTG and it cost $7 from Optics Planet. I know some of you will turn your nose up at this base because it is made in China but in my opinion it is a better base for the SPX and a steal of a deal. I could careless where it is made as long as it performs and looks better.
