Hello all, I recently purchased an Fn SLP and was wondering what was available for shell storage. It sure seems like not alot is out there for the SLP/Super X 2. Any help is much appreciated.

3gungear is the way to go (http://3gungear.com/Pages/Shotgun_Side_Saddle.html). Got them on all my tactical shotguns - ripped the bolt-on Sidesaddles and their associated problems off all of them and never looked back after getting my first one from 3gungear.

They velcro on to the side of the receiver. Put a velcro base on the receiver (black and blends in nicely) and the carrier panel is quickly removable if desired - but does NOT come off while firing). Can get in different capacities for different guns or different desires. Although the 8-rounder is advertised for the FN, if you have the cantilevered mount, go for the 7-rounder - it does not require the additional stabilizing strap up front (and the cantilever base can interfere with said strap on the 8-rounder). See the link for attachment, and the cantilever base of a MKI can be seen in the 2x4 fore end carrier pic.

Also go for ordering straight from 3gungear - if you order the ones from Dillon, they are (at least were) not precut for your particular gun - you have to cut the takedown pin holes yourself in the backing - straight from the manufacturer he will die cut the access holes in the proper place for free. Believe it was my Remingtons that also had cutouts for the serial number - he just does a cleaner job with the cutouts than I have.

And check out his 16-round forearm (mine, not the shotgun's) shotshell carrier - I've been using one recently in 3-gun matches (replaced my Blackhawk 8-rounder) and it's been great for reloading within cars, etc. as between it and the sidesaddle I have 23 spares right by the loading port. I haven't done any of the forearm (the shotgun's) carriers as I can shoot faster and more naturally with a solid grip on the shotgun's forearm.

Could go on more about them, but think I have enough already.
