Does anyone know of a high vis follower that can be used in the 930 SPX without reducing the number of shells it will hold?

The factory follower is hollow and allows the spring to sit inside of it. I fear if I purchase a standard Choate follower it will reduce the capacity by 1. I like the 7 shell tube and I don't want to step down to 6.

The only issue I've had with my 930 SPX is the follower. It's gotten itself lodged in the tube three times since I've owned the gun. That's three times in 110 rounds I've put through it. I would like a more reliable follower before I'll feel comfortable using this gun for home defense.

I would like to add that this gun has performed flawlessly aside from the follower malfunction. It eats buckshot, slugs, and light dove loads.

Looks like the Choate will work.

I had issues with the Choate follower in the 930. It would not feed properly. I currently have a 870 Schattergun/Wilson Follower that I had on hand that is working well.

YOu might also try the Brownells or Vang Comp Followers for the Mossberg 500/590.

Thanks for the heads up DMR, I just placed an order with wilson for that follower.

So does the Wilson follower only allow for 6 rounds in the tube on the 930 SPX because of it's length, or can you fit 7?

I lost a round using the SGT follower, even trimmed.
I'll probably use one of the Brownell's followers.
OP:
Does your magtube have a dent?  It sounds like it might be out of round if you are having that many problems.
You might also want to put a stronger mag tube spring in it.  Mossbergs are notorious for weak springs.

My extension tube apears to be in good shape. No dents or dings that I can see. It is round to the eye.

I hadn't thought about the spring. I may try that.
