Saw this at Academy sports at an unbelievabely low price.  A good $50 lower than their mossbergs and remingtons.   I did a bit of research and found out its a chinese made near copy of the 870.

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with one?  And if so, how hard might it be to put a magazine extension and a scope mount on it?

The one I saw at Gander Mountian was drilled and tapped aready for a mount, so it would be a snap to mount a base. I think I recall from dicussions on other boards that most of the extended tubes would work. YMMV..I'm looking at one as a 'behind the door' gun unless I find a screaming deal at the next gun show for something made in America.

My cousin just got one.  Its not bad for the price.  I would just save a few more bucks for something american made!  But, thats just me when it comes to firearms.

Got one cheap a few years ago, had ghost ring sights, too . . . $150 at pawn shop.  Good shotgun, no bells and whistles, but a good shotgun.

I just bought one at Dick's during their Thanksgiving sale for $150 but I don't know much about shotguns to be able to compare it toMossy or Remington.  It seems to be well made with exception to the trigger housing which looks to be MIM.  The reciever is tapped for a scope/mount and it has a brass bead front post.

MrBear, I also saw that the one I looked at was ready for a mount on the receiver.  I'm not sure what sort of mount would go on it though?  Think anything that would fit an 870 should fit one of these?

Should mount up with a standard Weaver style base which would mean that you could mount the full range of dots and lights..

The finish on it is terrible and comes off very easily. Yet when I took it to the range my 870 would not properly cycle the cheap low wall ammo. THe pardner would eat any ammo that I put in it all day long and was accurate as I only shot out to 25 yards but could make consistant headshots at paper targets. And yes you can put a 870 mag extension on it as I tried it out and it worked. Some of the guns parts dont seem as sturdy as the 870, the finish it awful, yet it ate more ammo than my 870.
