Anybody have these? How do they compare to the Remington 1187? Anybody have both or can give a direct comparison? I know it's not as high speed as a Benelli M4, but I can't swing that much $$$. Thanks Mike |

i have had mine for about a week now. i took it out last weekend and put about 300 rounds through it, an da wide variety of shells it was. gun ran great. hits targets when i do my part. groups slugs well. cycles very fast. i had my timer with me and did "rapid unloads". i did thre of them. 9 shots per run from the low ready. 2.01, 2.23, 2.31. i dont think that is to shabby. bb |
Well if its not as high speed as the M4 I'd be happy just the same. Just returned from shooting my buddies 18" SLP and I believe its as good as or better than the M4 with price factored in. Very nice internals. Simple and very fast. Great performance and the quality is very high. Fit, finish, and it feels very balanced. Its on my short list of things to get. J223... |

I'm pleased with mine and it's a work gun. Mine in particular has seen about an equal number of low recoil buck and slug without issue. Clover leafs at 25 yards are doable and the OO stays within a standard "Q" at 20yds with the standard choke. Unfortunately one of the weak points we've found is the adjustable rear sight mounted to the rail. It is not the strongest mounting system available. The screw attaching the sight to the rail is easily cross threaded and, in our case, needed to be replaced. We're still waiting on FN after 2 weeks. In the interim, I slapped an Ashley X/O rear ghost ring on it and it works fine if not better. Lower profile and less moving parts while being pretty rugged seems to work well as an ad hoc replacement. Other than that, a great gun that requires a little hunting for accessories (ie. Sidesaddles and light attachments). |
