So, I'm sorry to ask, but unless I do, I won't know.....So, what is the slot in shotgun stocks that hold a shell for? Just to have 1 extra or what?

Thanks

Its actually 4 extras, double stacked tubes on each side of the stock with a speedfeed. They are nice

Bottom gun has one

I have a 590A1 with both a Speedfeed stock and a side saddle.  I load the side saddle with buckshot and the speedfeed tubes with slugs.  It makes for easier ammo selection under stress.  When I do a select slug drill, I can more easily get the right ammo without looking.

ok, sweet, so it is not just 1 shell....That's what I was wondering.

Thanks
