its 18" minimum most people make it just a little over 18" just to be on the safe side The 18" is measured from the bolt face when closed to the end of the barrel Befor you chop a good barrel find out how much a new/used 18" will cost Then find out what a smith is going to charge to cut yours, and are you going to have it threaded for chokes? and what will that cost? yep, what he said They measure it by taking a wood dowel and put it down the barrel with the bolt closed. then measure the dowel So, most people go 18.5 just to be sure. |
