Where are some good places to get shotgun ammo on-line?  By good I mean - decent prices, good selection, good service and reliable reputation.

cheaperthandirt.com, sportsmanguide.com, ableammo.com, cabelas.com, ammoman.com

Shotgunshells are heavy. Shipping is expensive. Walmart is good for basic stuff.

Their shipping seemed perfectlt reasonable to me. Plus I can't get the #1 buck that I use locally.

I don't want to perpetuate internet rumors, but as I understand it, the people that have had problems were buying firearms, and not ammo from him.

Ever notice that Ammoman is no longer a member or partner or in any way affiliated with this site?

...just say the words "Vietnan bringback SKS" (that just so happened to have IMPORT MARKINGS ON IT!!) on arfcom and an Ammoman shit storm will begin.

Amoman advertised an SKS as a Vietnam bring back, and when the buyer(who is an arfcom member) got it and saw import markings on it (obviously therefore not a bringback) he called Ammoman. Eric(AKA Ammoman) then was a complete ass on the phone to his customer, and hung up on him. There's much more to the story but I won't go into it.

Ammoman is a good dealer as long as everything goes OK. If you have a probelm with your order though, he completely flips out. Loose cannon.

Had no idea he was out. I never bought ammo from him but my brother inlaw drove to his shop a few years ago and brought home a pickup truck of ammo. I bought some 223, 12 gauge buck and slugs. I don't have the time I should for the site anymore. I just drop in here quick.

I shoot skeet every week so I go thru a lot of ammo. Walmat fills 90% + my needs. We have several Walmarts here on Long Island that sell ammo and the Middle Island store has a good supply. They even have .35 Whelen in 250 grain. I had to buy some .257 Roberts on line for my new rifle.  I am a cheap bastard so paying shipping burns me up. MIKE.
