Just curious if anyone has either a link to dissassembly instructions for the M3, or a link to the owners manual that would have that information as well.  I need to read how to remove the lifter, thank you.

Brownells is always a good plce for schematics. I don't think you will be able to find any owners manual that will actually show you how to remove the lifter/carrier, but since M3 trigger group is like the M1 and M2, I can summarize it pretty easily.

First make sure the shotgun is unloaded.

With the hammer cocked and the bolt foward (not locked back), drive out the pin the in the receiver that holds in the trigger assembly. Grab the trigger guard and pull the trigger assembly out of the receiver.

Now you need to let the hammer down. Do not just pull the trigger. Holding the hammer, pull the trigger and ease it down until spring tension is gone. Look at the the tube-like pin (trigger guard pin bushing) that goes thorugh the trigger assembly and holds the hammer in place. It also holds the lifter. On the left side, there is a D-shaped clip that keeps this tube pin from coming out. Remove this.

Also on the left side is the breech bolt latch (attached to the cariier). This has the carrier spring plunger and spring, which you will need to remove. Simply grab the plunger and spring and pull it back until it clears the latch, then pull those parts out.

Now the fun part... push out the trigger guard pin bushing from the left side. While doing this be careful... parts start to come off. First it will be the hammer and spring, and the last thing to come off will be the cartridge drop lever and spring. Once all of this is done, you shoudl be abl to lift off the carrier. Also be careful about the breech bolt latch, since the pin that holds in in place may b loose and will fall out if you'r enot careful.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any questions about this. I'd post pics showinghwo to do this, but I don't feel like disassembling my trigger assemblies right now...

Is the bolt handle supposed to just pull off with a hard tug like the manual says?  I have a fobia of breaking it/loosening its fit.
