I was wondering if anyone was using an Easyloader carrier release on their 11-87?  If you are, how do you like it & was it easy to install?

They work great and are worth installing. However, they aren't exactly a drop in part, since you have to drive out the roll pin that holds in the factory bolt release, widen the area where the Easyloader will go, and then drive in a new roll pin to hold it all in place. If you are reasonably good with tools and have patience, it's not too hard to do.

It also makes it easier to load then an 870. The only drawback is that it sticks out quite a bit, if that doesn't bother you have at it.

One hitch to it ( unless you trim the EasyLoader slightly ) is that if you do not fully seat the shotshell, so that the shell stop locks the round in the magazine, then you will painfully trap your thumb in between the EasyLoader and the shell. It H-U-R-T-S ....... ask me how I know ! If you forcefully and surely push and lock the shotshells into the magazine tube, no problem. If you catch your thumb nail and don't ever want to again then trim the EasyLoader 1/4 - 1/2", this will also leave less hanging out of the receiver to snag on things.
