Went to a local gun show this morning and found a nice deal. Earlier production 870 Express with a 20" smoothbore barrel, rifle sights. Wood is good, finish is still good, action is smooooooth. $300 (And its not the right section but the 5.56 was $24/box)
https://imgur.com/Fqi0hc9 And I had bought a 3-shot extension off Armslist for my 870 Express tactical, tried it out on this one and its now as good as permanent. https://imgur.com/fTJIdK8 [sorry for links, image embedding doesn't work for me] |

I bought through active junky and got 7% cash back. The RMR is on sale from Cabela's for $325. 10% off with active junky. Scalarworks mount is $120 and I think Brownells has them in stock so should work with the 7% off. I bought direct from scalarworks. And oversized safety, xs front sight, and aftermarket follower round out the package with some stippling thrown in. Today will be the first day of shooting with the RMR. I think it will be awesome. Much easier to find the dot than on a handgun. |

My goal with this one was to keep the gun light, handy, and simple. So far I'm really liking this shotgun! Extended safeties are surprisingly helpful imo The Blue Force Gear Hunter sling is probably tied with the safety for my favorite addition so far. Instead of a more complicated "tactical" sling, I decided to go with a simple design from a reputable manufacturer. Very minimalistic but easy to adjust out or tighten up to keep a low profile so it doesn't snag. Easy to carry muzzle down "African" style over my left shoulder for quick access but large enough to sling across the back to keep it out of the way when needed. It is easily adjusted by a slider and uses the standard sling swivel studs. Highly recommend to those looking for a sling of that style. |
