Got one for oyu shoty experts.

my buddy has a tac 870 he put together. the other day at the range about 10-15 shells through blasting with it his optic lense cracked horizontally.

here is what it was

he doesnt want to go back to that and i owe him some cash.

i have a panorama optic 1MOA, but i cant find the exact link to the one i have.

i purchased it for $280 last year and im affraid to give it to him in case it cracks.

Is this right?
Has this happened to anyone else?
Would i be safe mounting mine on there?
does the type of ammo effect it or grain #?

anything would be hlepfull.

thanks

A fine example of getting what you pay for. I've never heard of a shotgun's recoil damaging a quality optic. If your buddy uses a higher-priced red dot optic next time, I'm sure that he'll be fine. Me personally, I'd only use an Aimpoint or EOTech, but that's just me.
