I am not sure I understand your question - are you saying it has been moded for 3 gun or is it a duck gun that you want to mod?

If it is a field gun - about $250 max

If it is a gamer - what has been done? Ez loader? How long is the barrel? Chokes? Sights? Vent rib? mag tube? Side saddle? Over sized safety? Over sized bolt latch?

More info please

Sounds a little high to me - but depending on condition and round count, it *might* be worth it(I still think you can do better, though)... What kind of "coating" - and who applied it??? Recoil pad???

When you say the stocks are green, is it a greyish green? Sounds like your looking at a 1100 Competition Master, specifically designed for 3-gun! Don't believe Remington is making them anymore. If its in good shape its worth the $450 asking price. You wouldn't have to so much else to it to get it ready for 3-gun. http://www.tmcarms.com/long.htm

it could also be a buildup made to look like a CM.

it's the synthetic stock that comes on them (rem.) the green is not greyish just light green. niether of us knows who did the coating. it looks like a plain jane gun. it has a 8-10rnd tube but other than that it looks stock it has an "unknown" round count cause it was traded to him. i think i'll offer $300.00 what is the going rate for a mostly stock 1100 of the same setup?

I purchased mine for $300.  18" chopped barrel.  I Sold the choate stock and installed Remington synthetic furniture, new Hi-Viz front site, big button safety, Dave's Metal Works easy loader, Wilson Combat +2 mag extention.  Side saddle +6, and misc. gun smith charges.

After the modifications, I'm into it about $550.

Great rifle -
