| Besides SureFire who else makes a flash light mounted in the forend. I just don't fell like droping 300 for a surefire thats all. |

tacstar doesn't make a forend with integrated light, but does sell a combo that uses a bracket that triple clamps (one to the barrel, one to the mag tube, one to a pretty high-quality lithium light). You can velcro a touch pad to your standard forend, and it works fairly well. The only thing to watch out for is to make sure the clamp doesn't PINCH the hell out of the mag tube, which might jam the gun by keeping the shells from flowing down the tube smoothly. I had this on my gun before going ahead and buying a Surefire. My brother now has it on his shotgun and seems pleased. Putting it on a 20-gauge seems to avoid the PINCHing problem altogether. |

While there are other options, and several of the guys here have mounted lights on their shotguns with them, the SureFire is the only such design I am aware of. You should, however be able to get one for well under $300...actually, under $200 if you shop a bit. Contact Calvin at Brightflashlights or Grant at G&R Tactical...both here on the Industry forum and both great guys to deal with with great prices AND several lower cost options on shotgun lights as well. |
