Anyone using the Patternmaster Choke tube on their HD gun? I have seen some pretty impressive claims for buckshot performance with this choke.

Whats the shortest Rem choke equipped 870 brl you can get?  I though brls with interchangable chokes were usually 28 or 30" long.

Could a brl be cut down to 18" and threaded for internal choke tubes?

My Remington Express is 26" w/Rem-Choke.  I have a friend that has a 20" with rifles sights a w/Rem-Choke barrel.  Thats probably the shortest factory available barrel w/Rem-Choke.  If there's enough metal it probably could be cut to 18" and internally threaded for Rem-Choke, if it's too thin you can have the gunsmith install a different brand (thinner and shorter) removeable choke tubes.

Remington makes 21" turkey  barrels that have threaded chokes and a vent rib. Any barrel can be threaded by www.colonialarms.com.

The patternmaster choke tube is tight, very tight! I do not know if that is what I would want on a fighting shotgun. The Van system brings a IC barrel to about modified. That is as tight as I would want. I missed a turkey using a X-full kurkey choke at less that 10 yards! The patternmaster is as tight as the turkey choke. MIKE.
