My dept has Mossberg 590 shotguns issued. Well, there wasn't enough to go around for a while, and since i have other items issued I can use, mine got given up for a bit. To make a long story short, I was able to get another one that's been sitting int he evidence room. This is one of our NIB Mossberg 600 persuaders, 20 inch barrel w/pistol grip. As a less lethal or entry shotgun, the pistol grip is useless so I installed the pistol grip buttstock. Went to load it. DAMN MAG TUBE ONLY HOLDS FOUR ROUNDS!!!! This tube should hold 8 if I recollect right. How do I get the tube off to find out if someone stuck a duck plug in my extended tube? That's what it feels like is in there....

Unload the shotgun, remove the barrel and shake the gun gently upside down.  The duck plug should fall out enough for you to pull it out of the hole the barrel screw goes in.  It is normally a piece of dowel rod with an O-ring on both ends.
