| Anyone ever tried using a speedloader for a shotgun and if so was it worth it. Also, has anyone ever tried to make a shotgun speedloader? |

Yes I have used them, and installed them on both of my 870s. These have been considered open class competition only kit for sometime, but I have to say they make a lot of sense especially if a shotgun is your primary weapon. You can load 4 shells in the time it would normally take to load one. They take some practice to use, but once you get the hang of it they kick ass. |

There is really only one game in town: Armstech. They have a patent on these devices and no one else has copied them. Tek-loaders are available through Brownell's with the mounting bracket and nylon case for like $40 or so. Do a search for shotgun items and they'll come up. |

MAINEiac, Here is a video from the rifle/shotgun match today. In this course of fire I use a tekloader on my SST-870 so it will give you an idea of how much faster it is. I'm new to using these things so I am much slower compared to the guys that have been doing it forver... www.cavalryarms.com/2gun/2004-4-10/Russell-1.WMV It does require more manual dexterity and practice than doing an AR mag change. I believe a Tekloader will hold three 3" shells. |
