Here is a few pictures of my Great Grandfathers Shotgun.  He was in the military, and my dad remembers looking at him strangly as he carried it through the woods like the former solider he was.  It is a Winchester model 1897, the old man always referred to it as "the trench gun"

It will never be sold

MKA 1919XN (version 3.0)
New Firebird billet Tac-12 lower receiver. LaRue A-Peg grip. Still need to add the Tooth and Nail Armory charging handle, over-sized mag button and modified BAD lever.
Still breaking her in, but what a beast. Eats Wally World value pack to 3in Federal magnum buckshot, no problem.

I have an OLD Mossberg 500. I picked it up used around 1991 from a pawn shop. I have beat the hell out of it since. So much of the original finish wore out. See pics:

I painted it here and there:

Gave it to a co-worker who does powder coating, this was his first time using a matte finish:

Doesn't look too bad, huh? Some light sanding where the bbl and rcv'r meet up..

Very cool!  Here is my Remington Model 10 takedown from the early 1900s.  I picked it up at a pawn shop for $78.  I chopped 11.5" off the barrel and 1.5" off the stock and made a metal buttplate.

I picked up a well used but serviceable Model 10 a few weeks ago.  I shortened the barrel to 20.5" and cleaned it up real good.  Mine was made in 1919.  I haven't shot it yet but it runs smoothly with snap caps.  Ill post pics when I get home tomorrow.  Yours looks great.  The trigger guard you have looks different from mine, I don't have the fancy guard.  What year was it made?

Sounds awesome.  I will look forward to seeing the pics.  The way these shotguns work is really cool.  I haven't tried to figure out an exact year of manufacture, but I have to assume pretty early.  The serial # is in the 4000 range.  It also doesn't say model 10 anywhere on the gun like every other one I've seen.

There's one at McLeod's in Holden, Maine.

$145.00 12g.  Rough finish.  Poorly fitted FN buttpad.

Would make a great candidate for a Whip-it.

Prob the last outing as the form 1 is approved
3 in 30 mins with this 500 20ga with buck shot. Not my ideal choice but the only option on public land.

This is a New Haven 600AT (Mossberg 500) I picked up off facebook for $200.

Added Mossberg breacher barrel, Aluma-Hyde (Coyote), and restained stocks and turned into another HD shotgun/beater gun.

Finally finished her. I won her at a training in 2009 and soon after that had Vangcomp work her over. I recently had a machinist buddy open up the loading port and do some engraving. I did the Cerakote. The color is 90% Magpul FDE (Flat Dark Earth) and 10% black. The stock and handguard are FDE. I did this to get the contrast.

Beretta 1201 FP. Started life as a Detroit PD turn in. Added a second hand Benelli M1 stock, extended charging handle, picatinny rail and PA micro RDS. Still working on sling options.
Its a beast with slugs.
