Which model?  9, 40, or 45?

I don't see any of the Russian ammo as being problematic in the FN handguns, but there are better choices out there for around the same prices.

I dont own a FN YET, but I stay away from the russian ammo in general, way too dirty IMO. Like the other poster said theres other alternatives which are cheaper; Blazer, PCM, etc

Now real reason why I replied; what did you pay for your FN 45 USG? The show was in town and the cheapest I saw was  $629
I figured with the FNX and 45 tactical coming out the 45 would drop in price, guess not...

The FNP-45 will remain as is in the FN catalogue, it may be re-named to FNX-45, but since it was the first of the FNP series to have all the "FNX" enhancements I doubt there will be any actual change to the pistol.

To the OP, if you can find some Privi Partisan .45acp that is a far better low cost choice than the Russian stuff.  It is far cleaner and has really good quality brass cases.

You still have to clean it right?

If it runs the russian crap, run it.  Might want to put some oil on your fingers and then touch the cases on the steel-cased rounds just to give them a little lube.  Brass should move fine as-is though.

The only ammo that the FNP 45 does not like is supposedly the Winchester White Box, as it is often too long in overall length.  I've shot nothing but Federal American Eagle and Magtech in mine.  Flawless at 500 rounds so far.  I hear issues with WWB and with +P loads, but many owner's guns eat those up no problem too.

They are excellent guns.  Shoot with confidence.

all the ammo i shoot out of mine recreationally is wwb. ive only had problems with the mags not feeding a few times in the past 1000 rounds or so. the majority of the few problems came from one lot of ammo. i disassembled my mags and lubed htem with a bit of clp. problem has since disappeared. btw when i say a few i mean 4-5 occasions.

For some.  But not many.   Those that do seem to find a common theme with WWB, but then we have others, such as the above response, where they eat up WWB fine.

I say buy with confidence.  FNH is a stand-up company.  Lifetime warranty, free shipping both ways, great CS response too.

I fired the FNP .45 for the first time yesterday and that thing is fawkin' sweet. It didn't miss a beat, was very accurate, and easy to manage recoil. Now, if I can just find one at a decent price. They were asking 800 bucks, too.

picked up a FNP-45 USG shooters pack w/ DE frame.  out of 165 rounds of WWB, Win Supreme, and Blazer brass it had 20 FTF.  Light hand cycling causes a FTF everytime.  Called FNH monday and haven't had a response yet.  Love the feel of the gun if it would work.  Too bad the grip angle of Glocks suck

I'll bet all your failures were with the Winchester ammo.

Did you keep track?
