I'd like to get a new fnp but not sure if I want to go with a 9 mm or a .45. This would be an every day carry and my concern is that the .45 might be a bit too large to conceal comfortably. I'm 6' maybe a shade over and just north of 200#. Do those of you who carry a .45 find it uncomfortable? I'm definately not a suit and tie guy, more jeans and sneakers. Any input would be greatly appreciated!
Cannot answer your question, but I have a NIB FNP-9 I'm selling to upgrade my Canon lens assortment. Mine came directly out of the FN plant just around the corner from my house. It was actually a donation from FN to the local high school, and they auctioned it off at a fund raiser and I wound up with it. I'm lookin to get $500 out of it locally. Might not be worth your time since you can probably find one in your area for a littte less, or no shipping and transfer fees. But I do have 100 rds of 9mm that goes with it.
Jump into the 9mm. Its just a tad bigger than My Kimber tac-pro but ALOT smaller than the FNP45 most definately willl be challenging to cover it. only if you have a big coat. . I carry both the Kimber and my FNP9 or 40 ..just situation dictates for me. but I usually carry the FNP the most.
It took a while but when in doubt get both. So that's what I did. and oh yeah the 45 is considerably larger than the 9. By the way I got the 45 with the manual safety and the 9 without. Both are all black. Have yet to get to the range with them but if they're as good as all the reports say they are I'm sure I'll be more than happy. The 9 sure seems like it would be a nice carry judging by size and weight. Thanks to all for the input.
Was hoping to hear from anyone that does or has carried either of them.
