I'm interested in the new FNP45. I have a question for those of you who have them, how is the muzzle flip and recoil impulse on it?

Thanks,

i have one with about 800rds through it now. muzzle flip is moderate to low depending on how well you can control it. overall i dont think that it recoils much at all, even with +p rounds. follow up shots are quick and easily executed; its a pleasure to shoot

FN is saying 30% less felt recoil than a M1911........

Every Magazine article so far has mentioned its felt recoil to be approx like a 9mm.

The FNP-45 is very smooth shooting.  There is very little noticeable muzzle rise when you shoot this pistol.

I'd say that is just about right.

It definately has less recoil than a 1911.

It's still more than my Beretta 92, but I would describe the recoil as that of a slow, gentle push.

I love shooting mine, more so than any other pistol.
