How well does the 45 tactical really shoot? I'm looking for a suppressor host. I like how the 45tac is already cut for the rmr. But is it really a superior shooter aside from its cosmetic features? Any experience as it being a shooter compared to other market leaders would be appreciated.  Especially chime in if you have experience with p227 or xdm 45 in comparison.

I like my FNP-45T, but don't have anything else to compare it to. Some don't like the big grip on it, but 15+1 is sure nice. My wife loves shooting mine. Handles suppression really well. Mag well/trigger bar area does get very dirty after suppression use. The milled slide allows for co-witness and helps you get to the dot quicker (at least it goes for me). The newer FNX-45T has more chamber support, and wider mags (allowing for greater OAL variation in loads)

I really like my FNX Tactical. It's not perfect, but it does the job. The trigger is good, but not great (wish it was metal with a crisper break), and accuracy is combat effective but not quite at the level of my M&P9 (which is really really damn good).

That said, it's a blast to shoot, especially with the RMR.

Pretty much all of this. It's a hoot suppressed with an RMR. Hope I never have to break it down all the way to clean it though, looks complicated in there.

Finally took mine to the range and it shot great, trigger was good and I was cleaning the plate racks fast. My 12 year old has luck with it on the range also.

How may rounds before malfunctions occur?  Looking for a reliable host.

I haven't been shooting this year at all sadly or been able to get on here as much as i want. I really do enjoy mine i have 1000~ rounds through mine with no issue out the box. It eats steel case and aluminum case just fine. If you get one, get it in person and make sure mags drop free that seems to be a common issue with the tactical. The trigger could be better but after shooting mine it has gotten better.

Anybody ever have any issues with decocking the gun because of recoil?

Sold my FNP-45 USG. It was okay but it isn't a Glock. The trigger wasn't that great, the sudden dropping of support didn't inspire confidence, and it actually felt cheap.

No.  My only guess on how that would happen is if you were riding the safety??
Which would seem very hard to do and obviously not advised since it also serves as the decocker.

Got my first FN Pistol yesterday, FNX 45 Tactical in FDE. I bought it used for a hell of a deal! It doesn't look like many rounds were fired through it judging by the condition of the barrel.

The empty casing packet shows it was test fired on November 17, 2013 by Clinton Thompson.

It came with yellow rear tritium sights and green front tritium sight. Is this the standard set up from the factory or did the previous owner special order this combo?

I enjoy my FNX-45T a lot, just waiting on my Octane .45 to finish it off! I am finding I don't like the red dot on it so far, which was disappointing to me given all the hype around them.
