Ok, so I have wanted one for a while and on Friday I finally picked up a new FNP9.  It was NIB with three 10 round and two hi cap mags for $500 OTD.  I also ordered 2 more hi caps that will be here this week for $42 delivered.  I looked at the FNP next to the FNX and I liked the FNP better.  I was not thrilled with the safety decock lever on the X.  I was only able to put a quick 20 rounds thru it today but it ran fine.  No stoppages, good trigger in both modes.  I like it alot so far and it will compliment the Belgian FN "Browning Safari" mauser, FN Browning A5 sweet 16, and FN MK III Hi Power in the safe.

Here is mine only concern.  It is a discontinued pistol.  I have read and observed that FN has good CS, but what will the market be like for mags, parts, etc down the road?  Any other P buyers with these concerns?

I picked up a FNP-40 recently and my friend liked mine enough to pick up both the FNP-9 and the FNP-40.  We both like ours quite a bit and my friend loves his so much that he is using it for IDPA.  I am not concerned for parts availability and we both stocked up on inexpensive factory mags.  I suggest you buy a few more mags while they are cheap.  These are quality guns backed up by a quality company so I do not believe you should have any worries.

I have the FNP9 Compact. It is very accurate and doesn't ever jam. I don't see the full size version for sale much since they were discontinued.

I got mine here.  They are showing out of stock now, I doubt they will have any more.  Too bad too, was a great deal.
