I have a Ruger Mk1 with tapered 6 1/2" barrel I would like to start Bullseye shooting with but need to add a little weight to the barrel. I shake so much that a little extra weight on the barrel would help. It was made in 1952 so I don't want to permanently change it or drill into the barrel to attach weight.

Something that would clamp on would be nice. Any ideas?

Stick on wheelweights maybe?

Get some double sided vinyl tape, sticks on both sides.  Get sheet lead, fold to weight desired weight & thickness.  Vinyl tape on weight.

Go down to any electronic or plumbing supply store and buy a roll of solder.

I would buy some lead and use electrical tape to secure it below the barrel. Maybe a heavy duty magnet?

A clamp on shotgun light mount, or one of the mag tube braces would work with a piece of round-stock. Might be a little tough with a tapered barrel though. (have seen this done by others in NRA Smallbore Bullseye league)
