hey everyone my grandmother just gave me a JC Higgins Model 88 that was my grand fathers. can any one tell me about them. on the side it says 22 cal. Is this a 22 long?

It is .22 long rifle. My mom has one that belonged to my dad. They were made for Sears by High Standard. You can find them marked as yours or High Standard, but I can't remember what the model number or name for theirs was.
