OK, so I have .22 conversions for the 1911 and 92FS. And the AR, but that's slightly irrelevant.

I'd love to get .22 conversions for my P226 and CZ-75, but they are ~$340 apiece??!

Would it be worth it to buy them, or continue to train on the 1911 and 92FS conversions and spend that $700 on nearly 30k of .22?

I carry the P226 daily, BTW.

you dont say what "train" is for you.  is it just to get familiary with the gun? is it to learn to shoot better?  is it tactical/combat?  is it ?

The Kadet kit is similar to the CZ system. All of the controls are the same, with the exception of how the upper functions.

im not sure about the new Sig conversion kits, but from what ive seen, they look to be like Ciner type conversions.  Im not sure if all of the Sig feature will work/operate.

If you want to "train" less expensively with your Sig, then it maybe good for you to get the conversion.  Since you dont say you CCW your CZ, i would assume its just a plinker/toy so a conversion would be a nice thing to have but not necessary.

one thing you may want to look into is to try to buy you ammo in bulk.  Ive been buying some of my ammo in bulk from "reloaders".  not the guy down the street, but some of the bigger guys.  They sell "reloads" that are either made with virgin or range brass.  I also reload, but use the brass for my own reloads.  Some of those mfg price isnt that bad.

By "train" I mean that I normally shoot 500-1000 rounds a month... A mixture of bullseye and action type shooting.

I CCW my CZ-75 sometimes and a CZ-75B is in fact my "desk gun" at work. In addition to the Sig for primary CCW.

I hadn't really thought about buying from those types of companies - thanks. I do reload and have enough components to load around 4k 9mm but have been sitting on that stuff since prices have gone up so much...

Well, if you shoot that much, it maybe worth it to buy one of the conversions.  Im not sure what the CZs are going for now, but i have seen them before for 300ish.  ive seen them for less in used condition but they usually dont last long at <300 even for used.

Ive been buying "reloads" from "the hunting shack" in montana.  You may want to check their web site since they post where they will be going show wise.  They bring their ammo to our gun shows and i have been pleased with their quality.  Ive bought both "virgin" brass and "range" brass loads and havent had any issues with their ammo.
