I have an AMT upper on a Ruger mkII lower.  The AMT is groved for a scope.  I bought a little red dot, the mount is for a weaver and the groves on the barrel are to narrow.  I bought a B Square that is supposed to fit the groves and allow the weaver to be mounted.  The groves are not long enough to mount the B Square.  Does any one have any advice on how to mount the scope?

Many rimfire rifles are known for using 3/8" (11mm) dovetail rings. Without seeing your AMT, I'll guess that these are what you need. There are many options to choose from.

Yes they are.  I have a second AMT/Ruger pistol with a 7" barrel that I mounted a 2x pistol scope on it.  The red dot I would like to mount has a flat base with it's own mounts.  I can't quite figure out how to mount it except drilling and tapping for a base.  Other Idea's?  The reason I like the AMT top is because of the groves for mounting scopes.
