I bought it thinking I was going to make a killing selling it. Boy was I wrong! It's worth about $75 more than I paid for it, so I'm gonna keep it and shoot it. Nice Huntsman you got by the way. I am wondering if it is possible to add a Woodsman slide stop to these guns?

There is one catch. You could ( I think ) use a woodsman side plate and I think the screw is in the same place...BUT you would have to know the exact location for the slide stop stud and plunge mill that hole in so that the side plate hole for the stud of the bolt lock would slide in correctly. YOu would also need the coorect side plate screw for the woodsman model. I am THINKING of trying this with my huntsman. THINKING. I am probably gonna hunt down a Woodsman for comparison. |

Nice pics! And indeed, you need a sideplate, proper sideplate screw, the bolt stop, bolt stop spring and some patience. Good call on the stop notch. This may be a project worth undertaking on my beater that I have been working on. ETA: check ou this link, my Homies, either New "Old Stock" Pony Parts or reproductions: www.wisnersinc.com/ |
