Wondering why they all have a 10 round limit. This ain't the 90's anymore! Double Stacks just are not reliable, The closest thing reliable is the PMR 30, but that's 22MAG Im sure manufacturers dodge double stack, becuase who wants to warranty/buy back the headache |

Rim lock is a major issue. Many .22 LR magazines will stagger the back of the rounds a bit to let them stack flatter and reduce the angle of the round needed to make it harder to lock the rims when loading the magazine, but they keep the points in line.
Double stack .22LR magazines have to reliably re "zip" the rounds into a single stack just prior to feeding and that's not easy to do with a high degree of reliability. |

Around 1994 I had some 50 round double stack Ruger mags for my Tec22 (it came with a 30 round double stack) they worked flawlessly. Have been surprised I haven't seen them for sale anymore.
These were cheap plastic mags, not even the better ones with metal feed lips. Surly someone can make good ones again? |
