Not getting much traffic in the GLOCK forum... Advantage Arms or Tactical Solutions? I find myself without a .22 pistol and suppressor host. Rather than buy a whole different pistol with different ergos and trigger, I think a conversion kit makes the most sense, but which one? I've heard of problems with both. Leaning towards Tac Sol at the moment as they can be had with a threaded barrel, whereas you have to order a separate barrel from Advantage Arms.

I have an early Target model AA kit which I mated to a gen III Glock 17 frame I got off GB for around $225. I also have an AA kit for a 26/27/33 which is mated to a Glock 26 frame. I think I have about $250 in the Glock 26 frame. I figure the frames are worth $250.

I have between $165 and $185 in each of mine (all bought used off GunBroker), and I considered that fair for excellent/like new condition. The most expensive one came with a couple of mags, the cheaper ones didn't, but they were all in great condition and complete/ready to just add upper half and shoot. I haven't looked lately, but back then you had to wait, be patient, and check frequently for the best deals. |
