I've shot a LCR .38spl and found the trigger to be pretty nice. How does the .22lr version compare? I've heard to insure reliable ignition, .22 revolvers often have heavier springs and as a result, heavy triggers.

I ask because I'd like to pick up a .22lr revolver for my daughter to practice shooting, but she doesn't have much hand/finger strength. Until I added the APEX trigger to my S&W 442, she needed both index fingers to pull the trigger.

I have an LCR in 22.  The trigger is fine as far as I'm concerned.  Fun gun to play with tho its not the most accurate thing.  For that reason I might suggest something else for a beginner.  Also the LCR can't be fired single action, as you know.  I would maybe look at the Ruger Bearcat for a newbie over the LCR.

Thanks. I got to handle one at my LGS today and I found the trigger to be stiffer than my J-frame, so that makes it a no-go. The trigger on the .22 LCR was nothing like that of the .38spl.

It has heavy for reliable primer ignition
