I wanna remove the rear iron sight from my Buckmark and put a sight base on it to mount an optic.  Are the bases anything special or will most weaver mount bases fit?  I can find plenty of Buckmark specific bases but not sure if that's just marketing or needed for bolt pattern to line up.

The bolts will line up if it specifically says it's for a Buckmark.

Been awhile since I looked at bases.  So in looking again I was reminded of the Tactical Solutions base with the built in rear sight....that I forgot about.    Kind of a no brainer!

I wish I would have bought that one, I'm stuck without an open sight at all.

Go to Primary Arms   Red Dots     And get one of their branded versions.  You'll be glad you did.

Do the sights co-witness with the red dot? Or is the red dot too high?

No cowitness with these sights.
