I own an older browning buckmark that has always worked fine up until recently.  If feeds fine but will not fire the 22.  If i single load them right into the chamber they go off 100% of the time but not when they auto feed into the chamber.

I've looked the gun over and do not see any obviously broken or worn parts, the gun has been thoroughly cleaned and a variety of ammunition tested. (Fed bulk, win bulk, rem bulk, CCI minimags.) Any ideas?

Have you confirmed that the round is fully seated when trying to feed from the magazine?  Maybe your recoil spring is worn to the point that it isn't fully bringing the slide into battery...

The slide is closed all the way.  Other than that i'm not sure how to tell.

Take it apart and clean it real good. Especially the face of the bolt.
Check to make sure your buffer didn't fall apart. They need to be replaced occasionally especially on an older pistol.

Chim has a great site for taking apart a Buckmark.

Is the hammer falling when you pull the trigger?  There have been some pistols that have been given unsuccessful trigger jobs.  The hammer followed the slide forward so the pistol was uncocked when the shooter pukked the trigger.

If the hammer does fall, how much of a dent does the firing pin make?  Do you have any other observations?
